SILOD is a self-hosted voice and chat app for private gaming groups. This is not Discord. The app runs on your computer. 2-5-2 Technologies does not see, store, or filter your chats, voice, or files.
This is a one-time buy for people tired of subscriptions. Buy once in beta and updates are included through the 1.0 launch. Bug fixes and small updates stay free. Major features and optional hosting are separate later.

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Your license key appears on the next page as soon as the payment is confirmed.
The cap is how many people can be signed in at once.
Beta licenses get new versions through Update in Host Settings, with an optional Auto Update check.

You run SILOD on your own computer for your group. People sign in. The host license caps how many can be signed in at once.
People on your home network can join the Host PC directly. People joining from the internet cannot, until you forward the Host’s ports on your router to that PC.
Theme packs are optional extras. You do not need one to use SILOD.
Chat is separate from voice. A chat silo is the channel a message belongs to: global, a rank you are allowed to post in, or a direct message. Voice rooms stay in the voice column.
In the message box, type /global or / and a rank name. That sets the channel. It is not sent as a message. Or click the channel button in that box. It shows [global], a rank name, or a direct message, and opens Global, the ranks you can post to, and DM.
Chips above the feed filter which messages you see. Click a chip to remove that filter. The chat SILO title opens those same filters.
The Host requires this for anyone joining from outside your network. The Host does not change your router. On the router, forward the ports to the Host PC.
For Host 15 and Host 25, forward TCP 8787, TCP 7880, TCP 7881, and UDP 7882. Unlimited needs only UDP 7882 and TCP 7881. UDP 7882 carries the voice. Also allow those ports in Windows Firewall on the Host PC.
The Host runs on 64-bit Windows. Mac version coming soon. Windows 11 already includes WebView2, the browser piece the app uses. The installer adds WebView2 if it is missing. There is no special graphics card and no published RAM minimum. People join from a browser or the app. The Host PC is the one that stays on.
Prices are USD. A paid Host license keeps working after 1.0 and is not renewed. Bug fixes and small updates stay free. Major features and optional hosting are separate later.
A license cannot be resold. It can be transferred to a new PC. A commercial license is $49.99 a year for unlimited users.
There is no Linux Host. Friends can open the Join page and chat from a phone browser. Voice in a browser needs Unlimited’s https link, because browsers block the microphone on the plain http link that Host 15 and Host 25 use. Otherwise, use the SILOD desktop app. The Host runs on 64-bit Windows. Mac version coming soon.
Files stay on the Host PC. 2-5-2 Technologies does not store them. There is no company upload cap. If the Host PC dies, the operator’s copy is the backup.
The Host operator holds member data. The Host does not send chats, voice, or files to 2-5-2. After the key is entered it does not need to call us to keep running. One online check happens the first time the Host starts.
Cloud hosting is coming. It stays private: the Host owner still owns the data. We do not centrally host everyone’s community. Hosting is a small convenience fee for people who do not want to run a PC, not the main business.
