This is a one-time buy for people tired of subscriptions. Buy once in beta and updates are included through the 1.0 launch. Bug fixes and small updates stay free. Major features and optional hosting are separate later.

For a private group

How it works

  1. You run SILOD on your own computer for your group. People sign in. The host license caps how many can be signed in at once.

  2. Self-hosting needs a port forward on your firewall: TCP 443 to the Host PC. Voice uses UDP 50000–50100 and UDP 7882.

  3. Theme packs are optional extras. You do not need one to use SILOD.

What the Host PC needs

The Host app is 64-bit Windows. Windows 11 already includes WebView2, the browser piece the app uses. The installer adds WebView2 if it is missing. A Mac build needs macOS 11 or later. There is no special graphics card and no published RAM minimum. People join from a browser or the app. The Host PC is the one that stays on.

The license

Prices are in US dollars. A paid Host license keeps working after 1.0. You do not renew it. Bug fixes and small updates stay free. Major features and optional hosting are separate later.

There is no Linux Host. You can join from a phone browser. The Host app is Windows or Mac.

Your files

Files stay on the Host PC. 2-5-2 Technologies does not store them and does not set an upload cap. If that PC dies, the operator’s copy is the backup.

What the company holds

2-5-2 Technologies does not hold member data, so there is nothing on our servers to produce. The Host operator holds the data. The Host does not send your chats, voice, or files to us. After a license key is entered, the Host does not need to call us to keep running.

Cloud hosting

Cloud hosting is coming. It stays private: the Host owner still owns the data. We do not centrally host everyone’s community. Hosting is a small convenience fee for people who do not want to run a PC, not the main business.
